Across The Pond Pets was beyond amazing in helping my Herblings (Rosemary & Basil) move from Seattle to London. They made what could’ve been a stressful process feel effortless — and even fun!
Kateri was an absolute star, juggling appointments and paperwork even when my move dates kept shifting thanks to visa chaos. She stayed calm, flexible, and kept me updated every step of the way.
Then came the travel drama: my Herblings’ flight got cancelled as I was already heading to the airport. Total panic moment — but not for this team! Kateri arranged a stay for my Herblings at the Friendly Grove Pet Spa, where they were pampered like royalty before their rescheduled flight.
Ashley deserves a medal for fielding my questions (with lightning-fast replies!) and handling all the accounts+customs coordination on the UK side. Even after the move, she went out of her way to help me with my VAT refund once my Transfer of Residence was approved. Seriously above and beyond.
Dr. Suzanne Byrd came to my home for the health certification — at a time that worked for me! — and the pet chauffeurs, Chris and Simone, sent me updates from every checkpoint so I always knew how my Herblings were doing.

When you're moving some of your most precious "cargo," choosing the right company feels overwhelming! Across the Pond worked with me to quote an airport-to-airport service, as I wanted to keep costs reasonable, but also have help with the most critical aspects.
The experience was perfect from start to finish! They helped my vet fill out the rabies form correctly, then when my vet didn't do international certificates, they found me a local vet that did.
The updates on my pups were wonderful! I was worried about my smallest dog because he never cries, but he was crying pitifully when put in the van, so it was reassuring to see him comfy in his "departure lounge" just a short time later! I could then follow their flight progress and they arrived to my partner in great shape!
For those who don't want to drive Portland to Seattle, they have transportation available and overnight boarding, but I know my guys and it was less stressful for them to be with me, so I really appreciated that option!
The receiving company in France had taken out bedding that was soiled and bagged it (I had potty mats, but pups may have been confused) and cleaned things up for pick up. They also take care of all of the customs formalities that can take hours! They will also deliver to your door, but similarly, I thought my guys would prefer seeing my fiancé and riding in our car, so I really appreciated that being an option!

If you're moving internationally, Across the Pond Pets is a great choice! Ashley is very responsive and kept me in the loop from start to finish and the other staff were similarly wonderful!

Ashley at Across the Pond Pets was amazing! From the very first informational call to the day my 4 yo old english bulldog arrived in Copenhagen, everything went smoothly. I also used their boarding service + vet service before his travel day, and he was so well cared for — they sent me daily updates that gave me total peace of mind. Everyone on the team was not only professional but also incredibly empathetic, which meant so much with how emotional of a process it was. I was especially nervous because Basil is an animal-reactive dog with anxiety and the idea of him flying was overwhelming but he surprised me by bouncing back to his normal self after only two days. The whole process was stress free, organized and I always felt he was in safe hands. I’m so grateful for Ashley and the entire teams professionalism and care. I couldn’t recommend a better service :)

I cannot speak more highly of Across the Pond Pets. Our kitties travelled safely and cared for from Seattle to Glasgow. Due to the travel restrictions for pets coming to the UK we were at a loss of how to get our cats to Glasgow with us. Across the Pond Pets was recommended to us by one of their travel partners. It was the best decision we made, it was the smoothest process when immigrating to the UK. Ashley was a superstar answering each and every one of our questions (we had a lot!). The travel vet, Suzanne, was wonderful with our cats as well as convenient to come to our house. Robert picked up our cats on the day of their travel and he was so good with them and he sent us pictures of them going through the airport. Our cats flew from Seattle to Frankfurt then flew to Edinburgh where a car service drove them to Glasgow. We got pictures of our cats at every stop. A very complicated process made simple by Across the Pond Pets. We highly recommend and are so grateful for their entire team for getting our cats to the UK.

The thought of taking our dog overseas has been pretty stressful. Across the Pond has been WONDERFUL in helping us with the process and procedures - taking away a lot of the stress!!! Everything has been very organized and very detailed so we know what to do and when to do it. I don’t think we could have navigated this process without Katalina - we would be so lost. She has been so great and we would HIGHLY recommend her if you ever need to take your dog overseas!!! Thank you so much!!!!!
