Capital Pet Movers

While my cats arrived safely, Capital Pet Movers’ communication and follow-through were extremely disappointing. Their driver was unable or unwilling to place my cats into the kennels, so I used my own brand-new soft carriers. I was assured they would be returned. Their email communication was poor throughout, often taking days to reply. After more than two months, they suddenly claimed I owed shipping costs and an unexplained balance—fees never mentioned before. Now it’s complete radio silence, and my carriers have still not been returned despite multiple follow-ups and even offering to accept replacements. Very slow communication, no accountability, and refusal to resolve a simple issue. I do not recommend this company.

They are simply the best! Extremely professional, adaptive, great attention to details and always helpful. They helped move a 4 month Irish Doodle from Washington DC to Colombia (South America). The puppy arrived totally as planned and healthy. I recommend also using the The ArK facility in JFK if you are considering international travel. Catherine is the person who worked on our move and I would recommend her without doubt.

We moved from the USA to the UAE with one cat in cabin and one dog being sent cargo. To say the UAE is a difficult country to import a pet would be an understatement. Catherine was there from Day 1 answering all our questions, coordinating with the local vet for customs paperwork, and helping with ground transportation both ways. Even with some last minute delays with our own vet and the USDA paperwork, everything actually went well. Checking into our flight and getting through customs went as smooth as possible. We left everything to Catherine and her team to import the dog and he arrived in county only a half day after us. After all the stress related to sending our large 90 lb dog in cargo, including him learning to open the crate a week before the trip, it was all for nothing. He arrived healthy if not just a little tired. Thank you all at CPM.

Their communication was excellent from my first inquiry all the way through to her delivery at our apartment in Rome. Shipping a 58 pound dog overseas is no easy task, but Capital Pet Movers ensured we had everything we needed all the way from the compliant crate to the proper paperwork, and they made the process as stress-free as possible. We will certainly be using them again for future international moves!
