I can’t recommend Flying Dutch Pets enough. They are truly amazing. From the very first contact when I requested a quote to the safe arrival of my fur child in a new country, every interaction was professional and reassuring. The team puts real effort into keeping owners informed, which made the whole process far less stressful. Their communication is clear, responses are prompt, and you can really feel how much they care about both the pets and their owners. I’m incredibly grateful for the care and attention they gave throughout the entire journey.

We were very relieved to find Flying Dutch Pets, who helped us transport our pets from the Netherlands to the U.S. without changing the flight or date - when KLM canceled our pet booking as hold luggage’s at the last moment. In a very short time, they arranged for both our cat and dog to fly on the same plane with us. Communication was excellent and always on time, with clear details and step-by-step instructions about what to do, when, and how, as well as the specific requirements for transporting animals from Europe to the U.S. This took a huge amount of stress off our shoulders. I also highly recommend buying the travel crates directly from them, as they know exactly which formats meet airline standards. Their pick-up service the day before the flight (so the pets could sleep at the pet hotel) was also very helpful - it gave us time to pack and get to the airport without stress. Upon arrival, the animals were healthy and well, clean and comfortable in their well-prepared crates. Once again, huge thanks to the entire team for their work, excellent communication, and support with the transport.

I took me a while to write this review, but here we go. As an expat family relocating from the Netherlands to Australia, one of our biggest concerns was ensuring the safe transport of our two pugs — father and daughter — both considered high‑risk flyers due to being brachycephalic. From day one, Flying Dutch Pets proved to be the perfect partner for this journey. What truly impressed us was their combination of transparency and realism. They never hid the risks involved, but they were equally clear that, with the right precautions, the relocation was absolutely achievable. That balance gave us immense confidence throughout the 10‑month process — yes, transporting pets to Australia is one of the most complex, bureaucratic, and time‑consuming procedures in the world. Throughout the process, Flying Dutch Pets provided: - Clarity at Every Step They guided us through each stage of Australia’s strict import and quarantine requirements, making a notoriously difficult system feel manageable and understandable. - Up‑to‑Date Expertise They were constantly monitoring regulatory changes and global infrastructure conditions that could affect the transport. A great example: although the Netherlands is considered low‑rabies risk, at the time there was no agreement between Dutch and Australian authorities regarding licensed professionals who could perform the required health checks under Australian standards. This meant our pugs were initially expected to complete the full 30‑day quarantine in Australia. Midway through the process, however, the agreement was finally established — and thanks to Flying Dutch Pets actively tracking this, they updated the paperwork in time, reducing the quarantine period significantly. This alone made a massive difference for our dogs and our family. - Thoughtful Route Planning To minimize stress for our pugs, they carefully assessed every outbound option and ultimately designed a route combining ground and air transport: Utrecht → Frankfurt (by road) Frankfurt → Los Angeles → Melbourne (by air) using trusted AirPet hubs. It was clear every detail was chosen with the dogs’ wellbeing in mind. - Constant Communication & Global Coordination During the journey, they kept us updated at every stage — even coordinating with their international partners. We genuinely felt supported and reassured the entire time. Special shout‑out to Chantal, who was an absolute star! 💛 - Empathy for Our Family’s Situation On top of all the logistic complexity, our family was navigating a lot: relocating continents, caring for our 2.5‑year‑old daughter, going through a new pregnancy, and eventually waiting for our newborn to arrive before completing the move. In the end, the timing of our baby’s arrival aligned with the dogs’ logistics, but the emotional load was huge — and it would have been so much heavier without the empathy and support from Flying Dutch Pets. - Thank you, Flying Dutch Pets. You didn’t just move our dogs — you helped hold our family together during an incredibly stressful chapter of our lives. We are deeply grateful.

We moved our dog from Amsterdam to Australia. Chantal and Daphne supported us tremendously well throughout the whole process. It was a very complicated and lengthy 6 months with a lot of complex paperwork. FDP were there every step of the way with support, kind words and clarity from start to finish. What a wonderful service. Thank you FDP.
