Horrifying experience – avoid if you care about your animal’s safety. We entrusted I.F.A. Skyfast N.V. with the international transport of our dog from Belgium to Malaysia, choosing them specifically because they claim to be IATA and IPATA certified. What we experienced was negligence, unprofessionalism, and a complete disregard for animal welfare. Despite providing crate dimensions and photos a month in advance, Skyfast only contacted the airline hours before departure, then informed us they had unilaterally decided to place our dog in a smaller crate—one that was non-compliant with IATA regulations and dangerously undersized for our dog’s dimensions. It was a decision made without our consent, and one that could have had life-threatening consequences during a 14-hour flight. We immediately refused to proceed under such unsafe conditions and were left scrambling to find an alternative, cancel our flights, reissue import permits, and rebook quarantine—all at our own cost. Skyfast failed to offer any timely alternative, and despite written promises to reimburse part of the costs, they have not refunded a cent beyond the original booking. This company clearly does not uphold the standards it claims to follow, and our trust in them was completely misplaced. If you value your pet’s well-being, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere.
Excellent customer service and responsive to many, many questions for shipping two large dogs and avoiding multiple embargoes. Lisa was patient, kind and knowledgeable and helped us get our furry family members safely from Europe to the U.S. Highly recommend for pet shipping -- they even sent us pictures and videos of our boys having fun at their kennel near the airport. It really put our mind at ease as we navigated a big move!
I had a good experience using IFA Skyfast to import my dog into the country. There was good communication by Mira and their live animal team by email. The day I had to pick up my puppy from cargo everything went smoothly.
I had to call three times after requesting a quote on their website before I received a quote over a week after asking for one. Once I received the quote I replied accepting the quote and asking what needed to be done to move forward with the process. Again I was met with no response and asked again 5 days later how to proceed. Finally received a response. Almost 2 weeks later and one week before the day my dog was supposed to fly and I never received any information about the flight my dog was supposed to be on until I reached out to them a week before the flight to which they replied with the date had changed but the numbers and times were still the same. I never received the numbers and times in the first place so I replied back asking for that information. Was told I’d have the info in 30 minutes; called back an hour later asking for the info again. I was told that time that they “were just about to hit send” and I should have it shortly. 45 minutes later I had to call back again asking for the info and was told it was supposed to have been sent and that they would tell the person to send it. At 1830 I sent an email (because no one answered the phone) I was begging them for the flight info so I could coordinate the pick up from the state side airport. At this point I no longer felt comfortable sending my dog through them (I should’ve realized a lot sooner) and found another company that put my nerves at ease immediately, was extremely communicative, and even gave me the information for the customs agent at the airport my dog was going to. I do not recommend Skyfast to anyone! Unfortunately I had extremely poor customer service. They are not worth the headache.
Useless I had to do all the work myself. Highly recommed not to use them to ship your pets. I used Skyfast services to send my pets from Brussels to Washington DC in the USA as I was moving for a new job. I had been in contact with skyfast for months trying to get any information and booking their flight for the US. I had to check in with them every week, I rarely got a response, very little information each time. They took days to answer any emails and they are never available for calls. In the end they try to make me book a flight of 35 hours going to frankfurt overnight. I had to push them really hard to find a shorter flight as one my pets is diabetic and needs special care. They kept ignoring my request until I myself found a cheaper and faster flight through Amsterdam. When my pets arrived in the USA, Skyfast ommitted to warn us that we needed special customs documentation for our pets and they got stuck hours at the border for no reason. No help from them of course. In conclusion, I did everything myself. Do not reccommend. Stay away!
