I was very impressed with Ms Kimberly service. My case was a bit rush (I gave her 6 days notice before traveling) Fortunately, She managed to settle all the permits on time. She ensured that everything went smoothly. Even though, I was a bit stressed because of the ticket issue. However, the situation was handled fast and professional. Kimmy and her team was absolutely amazing helping me relocate my cat from Qatar to SA (Kimberley). She and her partners handled all the paperwork and did a home pickup. We only collected my cat in Kimberley as her partners did all the paperwork in Jhb and has out him on a domestic flight. I cannot recommend Privilege enough! Fantastic service. They also keep you updated via WhatsApp and send you photos of your cat as he goes through the process.
We were very disappointed with our experience working with Privilege Pet Relocation Services. Communication throughout the process was very challenging. Most information was shared through WhatsApp voice messages, which made it extremely difficult to refer back to details when trying to confirm that the correct tests, timelines, and paperwork were in place for our pet’s relocation to Qatar. Given how time-sensitive and detailed international pet travel requirements are, having clear written communication and proper documentation is essential. There were also frequent delays in responses, and several time-sensitive questions went unanswered. It often felt like there was little record-keeping, as we had to repeat the same details multiple times. Partway through the process, Kimmy began working with an assistant, but unfortunately this seemed to create even more confusion. There appeared to be miscommunication within their own team, which added additional frustration during what is already a very stressful relocation process. Ultimately, we ended up securing our own import permit and researching many of the requirements ourselves. Although we paid 600 QAR for relocation support, we did not feel that meaningful services were actually delivered. In fact, the lack of clear communication and guidance created additional stress for us. Our expectations were fairly high, especially since we happen to be from the same hometown as Kimmy and hoped for a more supportive and attentive experience. Unfortunately, even basic administrative processes such as invoicing were unclear. We had to request an invoice multiple times before receiving one, and when we asked for a receipt for our moving expense records it took over a week to obtain. I still have screenshots of our communications and receipts documenting these interactions. Much of the general information about importing pets can already be found online. What we were hoping for from a relocation specialist was guidance on the more nuanced aspects of the process — for example, practical questions about what happens when pets land in Qatar, such as how to arrange ground transportation locally. Unfortunately, these kinds of questions were never clearly answered. Relocating a pet internationally is complex and stressful, and we were hoping for much more clarity, organization, and support than what we experienced.
I can’t thank Kimberly enough for everything she did for my cat, Muddy. From the very first message, she was warm, reassuring, and incredibly thorough. Moving a pet is stressful at the best of times, but she made the entire process so much easier and gave me complete peace of mind. She treated Muddy with the same care and attention I would have, and that meant everything. She kept me updated at every step, explained the paperwork and requirements clearly, and made sure I always knew how Muddy was doing. Nothing was ever too much trouble,she answered every question, handled all the little details, and genuinely went above and beyond. Because of her support, Muddy’s relocation was smooth, safe, and completely stress-free. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience or a kinder person to trust with something so important.
Thank you Kim and Privilege Pet Travel & Services and every person that was involved with the relocation of Roxy, Charlie, and Romeo. As their guardian, I will not deny that I was very stressed as this was the first time that I was relocating them, adding the fact that Roxy is a 17 years old lady, but your professionalism and understanding of the situation was key to get us reunited. Thank you for making everything so simple, taking care of every detail, and keeping me updated during the whole process.
