We cannot recommend PetEx highly enough. They assisted us with relocating our dog from Melbourne to South Africa, and from start to finish their service was beyond amazing. Moving a pet internationally is an incredibly stressful process, there are so many logistics, regulations, and naturally a lot of nerves involved. The team at PetEx were professional, responsive, and genuinely understanding every step of the way. They guided us through the paperwork, timelines, and requirements with total clarity, and were always available to answer our (many!) questions. What really stood out was their empathy. They understood that this wasn’t just “cargo” this was our family member. That reassurance and care made all the difference. Our dog’s departure from Melbourne was unexpectedly delayed due to a customs issue in South Africa, and during what could have been an incredibly stressful time, PetEx were beyond amazing. Because we had to leave earlier than planned without her, they quickly organised a kennel stay for our dog and handled everything seamlessly. We felt completely comfortable leaving her in their care, which says a lot given how anxious we were about the situation. Our dog is reactive and doesn’t usually warm to new people, so we were especially concerned about how she would cope. However, when we dropped her off at the PetEx office, she was immediately calm, comfortable, and happy to meet Tim and Haider — something that is very rare for her. Seeing that instantly put us at ease and reassured us that she was in the very best hands. Our dog arrived safely and smoothly in Cape Town, and we are so grateful for how seamless they made what could have been a very overwhelming experience.
