Moving pets from the UK to Australia is seriously complex because Australia has some of the strictest biosecurity laws in the world. We had to relocate three cats, and I honestly expected the process to be stressful and full of uncertainty. With Airpets, it was the complete opposite — everything ran smoothly from start to finish. The biggest reason for that was Sophie P. (London). She is an exceptional person who made the whole experience as smooth as anyone could imagine. Her responses were always quick, every step was clearly explained in her emails, and she kept regular follow-ups so we always knew what was happening and what we needed to do next. What really stood out is that Sophie was not only incredibly knowledgeable, but also genuinely kind and supportive — and she even replied to our emails while she was on holiday. That level of care is rare. This has been one of those experiences where you genuinely feel you can’t thank someone enough for the help they’ve given. Massive thanks to Sophie and the Airpets team — I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone moving pets to Australia. Sophie, thank you so much!!!
I very rarely leave negative reviews, but in this case the service was extremely poor. I requested transport for my dog from London (UK) to Jeddah (Saudi Arabia). I received a quote and carefully reviewed all the information provided before paying the deposit. After paying, there was a significant delay from Pet Air, which I initially assumed was an administrative issue. When I followed up for an update, I was informed that I would be responsible for finding and hiring a local agent in Jeddah to handle customs clearance and airport procedures. This requirement was not mentioned before I paid the deposit. I was uncomfortable with this arrangement, particularly due to concerns about my dog’s welfare and the lack of oversight. As a result, I informed them that I would be using another company and requested a refund of my deposit, as this key requirement had not been disclosed in advance. They refused to provide a full refund and instead only refunded £300 of the £500 deposit. In my view, the significant delays and the failure to fully explain the scope of their service prior to taking payment should warrant a full refund. Unfortunately, they were unwilling to do so.
This service is such a scam and I hope the government in the UK gets involved to shut them down. They offered to fly my dog from London to Mexico City for almost £3,000 and asked me to pay for a mandatory agent to get my dog in Mexico City from aircraft to the Mexican pet government offices with a charge of an extra £800. I spoke directly with the airline and they said that wasn’t required or true and even if I told Emma at PetAir and her team that extra £800 wasn’t needed, they still wouldn’t be truthful with me. I did everything directly with the airline and booking my dog in cargo cost me €250 and I paid PassPets (so incredibly knowledgeable of what was required!) to do the paperwork for £300. Don’t believe PetAir, you can buy a IATA crate online and get vax and parasite treatment directly with your vet. This company takes advantage of people not knowing the process and genuinely being caring and protective of their pets. Aeromexico was incredibly supportive and they even shared pictures with me of my dog being taken to the plane. You don’t need PetAir and their rip-off service. Good luck!
Liz and the whole team were absolutely amazing throughout my whole experience moving my cat from the Uk to Aus! I can't thank them enough. Supper quick responses, friendly, supportive and understanding. 10/10 recommend
Pet Air UK have been brilliant all the way through the girls' journey. They arranged for my three girls to fly from London Heathrow to the Cayman Islands. I was extremely nervous about it, but everyone at Pet Air UK put my mind at ease at every step along the way. Emma and Vicky in the booking teams, and all the boarding team at The Tarbay Centre, are amazing. I received regular updates and everything was well-organised from the word go. I can't recommend their services highly enough!
