I had to leave China with very short notice. I literally left with a suitcase and a backpack and little else. My apartment remained as it was, full of all of my earthly possessions, and, heartbreakingly, my two dear kitties, Mickey and Mouse. It was heart wrenching. They were left in good hands and were able to remain in their home. My dear friends who took care of the apartment and the cats sent photos and videos every day. I loved seeing them and I dreaded it all at the same time. I was in touch with Pet Porters from the very beginning but could not do anything until I found my feet again. That took longer than I ever expected and Pet Porters was patient with me as I hemmed and hawed about whether I should subject Mickey and Mouse to the long journey or not. I wanted to do what was absolutely right by them but couldn’t decide what that was. In the end, because there was no one who wanted to adopt them, I was left with no choice but to go ahead. I left China on August 16, 2023 and the cats finally joined me on December 19, 2024. Best Christmas gift ever.! Pet Porters arranged all of the travel. The two cats had to spend a couple of days at the KMG airport. Then they flew to Bangkok where they had a layover and a health check. The next stop was Tokyo where they even had a visit to a pet hotel for rest and refreshing. Then it was onward to DC. Once they had arrived and gone through customs they were driven from IAD to my home in Proctorville, OH. I can’t even imagine what they went through along the way but I know that I made the best choice in using Pet Porters to do what I could not do myself. When they arrived I had to look into their crates to see if it was really them. What a glad reunion we have had! Thank you, Pet Porters!

If you need help moving your dog, I highly recommend The Pet Porters. We recently moved internationally and needed to get our two large dogs overseas. Jelena took care of all the details and made the trip as smooth as possible. Neither of my dogs had ever traveled like this before and they were treated like royalty. Through out the trip, i received photo updates about how they were doing and constantly knew were they were. Moving is stressful on it's own, add in moving dogs and I was overwhelmed. The Pet Porters took away all that stress and made it feel effortless. I highly recommend them!

I cannot say enough good things about PetPorters in Dallas, Texas. I run a nonprofit organization that rescues retired working dogs, and recently I was helping a military handler get his personal dog transported from Japan to the United States. Due to a last-minute change, the dog, who was originally supposed to land in New Orleans, ended up in Dallas. The escort who brought the dog over was only there for a brief layover before catching another flight, and we suddenly needed someone to step in immediately to ensure the dog’s safety. After calling around frantically, PetPorters didn’t hesitate. They jumped into action the moment I explained the situation. Their entire team was incredible. They coordinated, made calls, moved quickly, and did everything they could to secure the dog and make sure he was safe. They kept in constant communication with me throughout the process and treated the situation with the urgency and compassion it deserved. Thanks to their quick thinking and dedication, the dog is now safe and on his way to his final destination. None of this would have been possible without the amazing team at PetPorters. I am beyond grateful for their help and will absolutely trust them again in the future. They are true professionals and heroes in my book.
