Import Requirements for New Zealand

• Only cats and dogs permitted (no birds, reptiles, or other pets)
• ISO-compliant microchip (15-digit)
• Rabies vaccination followed by rabies antibody titer test (FAVN, ≥0.5 IU/ml)
• 180-day waiting period after successful titer test
• MPI import permit from New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries
• Multiple internal and external parasite treatments on strict schedule
• Minimum 10-day quarantine at MPI-approved facility in Auckland
• USDA-endorsed health certificate (within 10 days of travel)
